Discovering Ascoli Piceno by getting lost in its narrow alleys and beautiful little squares.🏡 Love wandering around 👣 with no predefined route! 😍

The beguiling town of Ascoli Piceno is the major centre in the southern Marche, Italy. 🇮🇹 Many of the buildings in the central historical part of the city are built using marble called travertino, a grey-hued stone extracted from the surrounding mountains. Its central Renaissance square, 🏘 Piazza del Popolo (“Square of the People”) is surrounded by a number of buildings utilizing this stone, now often hosting open-air markets.

Castelluccio di Norcia is located in the heart of Valnerina, inside the Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini(Mounts Sibillini National Park). It is situated on the top of an hill in the middle of a large plateau. Castelluccio and its plains offer a magnificent landscape every moment of the year, but a visit is a must during the flowering. *** Sadly the village has been badly damaged by an earthquake in 2016 and is still almost completely destroyed, but now one of the streets has been reopened. You can see among the rubble and the immense drama a force stronger than anything else, the spirit of the people that are trying their best to restore a village of about a hundred inhabitants but of great historic and simbolic value. My thoughts and the highest respect go this great people.
